Roman blinds are a mixture of roller and venetian blinds in that they perform like a roller blind, and are more stylish, with controls variable as pull cords or roller and chain (the latter having a bigger headrail). Fabrics are available in various thickness' and density, colours and textures, all roll up the same, using pleats at set positions through its drop, allowing the blind sections to fold as it is drawn up, each one folding behind the other. Blinds are usually lined with either lightweight or blackout contrasting fabric. Romans can also be produced in natural wood. This type of blind has a greater area of fabric or wood showing when drawn up and a pelmet, against that of other roll up blinds, so is often used as part of curtain decoration, or as decor relief in window openings where no curtains are being used. Usual domestic uses have been bedrooms, lounges and conservatories, (limited fabrics on these because of distortion and warpage due to heat) Key Benefits
